Frequently Asked Questions

Offer a genre-specific lead magnet that solves one anxiety your client has, and put the opt-in where people actually look. A what-to-wear guide works well because it gets forwarded to moms and bridesmaids. Place the offer in an exit-intent pop-up, a scroll trigger at 30% page depth, your homepage hero and the end of every blog post, and name the guide instead of saying "Join my newsletter." You don't need thousands: one studio booked 53 sessions from under 100 subscribers.
Five sequences cover the whole client journey: a welcome and nurture series over the first seven days, a pre-session series from booking to shoot day with what-to-wear guidance and reminder texts, a post-session series from shoot to gallery delivery, a rebooking series at 90 days, 6 months and the session anniversary, and a referral and review series after delivery. Once built, they run without you and keep both quick bookers and slow deciders warm.
At least once a month, and ideally twice: one value email and one that's more personal or behind-the-scenes. Save promotional campaigns, like seasonal offers and limited-availability dates, for three or four times a year. Think of your list as a bank account: every tip or story is a deposit, and every promotional ask is a withdrawal. Keep roughly 80% deposits to 20% withdrawals and your audience stays engaged for years.
The one that does the six things you actually need: inquiry management, contracts and booking, invoicing and payments, automated follow-up, templates, and reporting. Dubsado and HoneyBook handle client workflow well. GoHighLevel adds email marketing, texting, funnels and pipelines, but costs $97 to $497 a month plus usage and has a real learning curve, so it's overkill if you only send contracts and invoices. If you can't name three features you used this week, you're overpaying.
Yes. You give instructions in plain English and Claude Code writes the code, so the real skill is describing the outcome you want clearly. It's an AI agent, not a chatbot: it can write your copy, update your website, publish blog posts and automate studio workflows. We run our own content, SEO, ad copy and website work on it without a developer, copywriter or SEO agency. The full stack starts at about $40 a month.
A Claude skill is a saved, reusable procedure, like a laminated SOP in a drawer, that Claude loads only when it's needed. Technically it's a folder with a SKILL.md file. Do the work first, then save the trail with Anthropic's skill-creator, and improve the skill each time you use it. Start with three or fewer, such as lead follow-up, website QA and one ad or pricing skill, and add more only after Claude is actually using the ones you have.
