Copywriting for Photographers

She thought she needed a new funnel. We rewrote her words.

Her ads had stalled. We rewrote her homepage and Google ads. Within the first week, she was getting two to three quality inquiries a day.

Done-for-you website copy for established portrait studios. Copy-only projects welcome. No rebuild required.

Newspaper-style illustration of an older copywriter editing a photography website, printed in charcoal and gold on cream paper.

Photography marketing for 1,500+ studios over 10+ years.

She was about to
turn her ads off.

She ran her portrait studio on her own. Her ads weren’t bringing in inquiries the way they used to, and she was losing faith in them.

She figured she needed something bigger. A new funnel. Another system to learn.

What she didn’t want was to start giving sessions away. She wanted clients who valued the experience she offered.

So we didn’t build her a funnel. We rewrote her homepage and her Google ads.

When she read the new homepage, she hesitated. “That’s not normally how I talk.”

“It’s how your clients talk, think and feel,” I told her.

“You’re right,” she said. “I’m going to listen to you.”

We launched both the same week. Within that first week, she was getting two to three quality inquiries a day, from people who wanted the experience she actually offered.

She kept her ads on.

If you’re close to switching yours off, read your homepage first.

Your copy team

You make the photographs.
We find the words.

Your website has a job to do. Let’s give it something better to say.

You’ve rewritten ‘About us’ enough.

Another blank page. Another lost evening. Hand the rewrite to us and get back to your clients.

Your website isn’t an escape room.

Don’t assume they’ll click to another page. Put the experience, the answers and a way to inquire where they already are.

Give the scroll a destination.

Beautiful photographs get their attention. Clear words tell them what to do next.

Just some photos?Oh. There’s a lot more to it.
Money pool sold separately. Results vary.

Explain the value before the price.

You bring more than a camera. We put the guidance, care and finished artwork into words, so people understand what they’re paying for.

“500 women can’t be wrong.”

Stop hiding the good stuff.

One client already had 500+ five-star reviews. We put that trust where the next visitor would notice.

Your studio. Minus the word salad.

‘Capturing timeless memories’ could describe any studio. We write about the person, the experience and why it matters, so people recognize yours.

Better words change what people write back.

When a page speaks to what someone actually cares about, they don’t just ask what it costs. They tell you why it matters.

For a campaign about women and their dogs, we saw people write three or four paragraphs about what their dogs meant to them.

Portrait inquiries get more personal, too: why the session matters, how nervous someone feels, what they hope to get from the experience.

That gives you something to talk about before you ever get to price.

We work on the pages, ads and follow-up around those conversations, so we see what comes back, not just the finished website.

Website rebuild: copy, structure and design

They thought we’d turned on the ads. We hadn’t.

After we rebuilt a Los Angeles photographer’s website, inquiries increased sharply. The studio thought the ads were working.

We hadn’t switched them on yet.

Search clicks had only edged up, but far more people were reaching out.

The pages you need

One homepage.
Or a story that carries through.

You may not need everything rewritten. We agree on the pages before the project begins. Each rewritten page includes its page title, description and headings, as set out in your proposal.

Homepage

Points every visitor to the right place.

Your homepage is the front door. It tells people who you photograph and what the experience is like, then sends each visitor to the right gallery or service with a clear next step.

Includes: Your homepage.

Key pages

Answers everything on the page they land on.

Ads and search often send people straight to a service page, and you can’t assume they’ll click to another one. So the page carries the whole story: the experience, what to expect, the proof and how to inquire. No clicking around to find answers.

Includes: Your homepage, About page and one key service page.

Full site

Every page follows the same spine.

Every page shares the same structure and voice, so moving between them feels predictable. Whichever page someone starts on, they know where they are, where to find answers and how to take the next step.

Includes: Your homepage, About page, agreed service pages, investment page and inquiry-form copy, with offer and package framing.

Need your ads to match?

Add Google or Meta ad copy to any project, so the ad and the page it leads to tell the same story.

No blank page for you.
Not even at the start.

  1. Understand and agree

We ask about your best clients, your offers and the questions you hear before someone books. You approve the direction before we draft.

  2. Write and revise

We organize the pages, write the copy and work through your feedback. Your proposal sets out the price, page list, revision rounds and delivery schedule before work begins.

  3. Deliver

You get the agreed pages ready to place, with the writing decisions explained. Design, rebuilds and implementation are separate.

Before we work together

Yes. We can write for your existing website. You don’t need ads management or a new site to book a copywriting project. Ad copy is an optional addition.
We quote the pages and work you need. The strategy call helps us determine the scope; you receive a proposal with the investment before committing to the project.
The schedule and revision rounds depend on the project. Both are set out in your proposal, including when we’ll need your feedback.
Yes. Your studio should still feel like your studio. But good copy isn’t a transcript of how you talk. Sometimes the right line is one you’d never have thought to say, because it starts with what your client is thinking. We explain those choices and work through them with you.
The page may not make clear who it’s for, answer the questions holding someone back, or show an obvious next step. The answers may also be there, but scattered across too many pages. Traffic, pricing, the offer or a broken form can contribute, too. We look at your situation rather than assume everything needs rewriting.
We make your services and location clear, with page titles, descriptions and headings included as specified in your project. We write for the person choosing a photographer—not to repeat the same keyword in every sentence. We don’t promise a particular ranking.
You can use AI to draft and edit. You still need to decide what your clients need to hear, how to organize it, and which promises your studio can support. That judgment, the writing and the revisions are the work you’re hiring us to take off your plate.

Before you change the funnel, look at what it’s saying.

Bring your website. We’ll tell you what’s missing, and whether you need a homepage rewrite, a few key pages or no rewrite at all.
